Bandit December Birthdays
December 3: “Original Lil” Bandit and Bandit Tré Bombach turned 16. Tre is a member of our historical first ever “Lil” Bandit T-Ball and “Lil” Bandit Coach Pitch teams. Tre played Pitcher, Second Base, Shortstop, Third Base, First Base and the Outfield for his Bandit team or in other words all positions except for Catcher. He hit in the heart of the order sliding between the first and third spots in the batting order. Tre is Blessed to enjoy the unconditional support of Team Mom Marcella and Dad Coach Charlie. He plays middle infield and pitches for the B-17 Legends and is the “Original” B-17 Legend as well. He is a Sophomore at Coronado High School enjoying success in multiple sports including earning 2025 District 1-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year in Football. Happy Birthday Tré!
December 4: Tommy Heck turned 39. Tommy is a member of our 1998 and 2000 National Finalists. At the 1998 Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs Colorado, Tommy finished in 3rd place in the 60 yard national sprint behind teammate Robert Gallegos. Heck went on to become an All District baseball player at Eastwood High School. During his college years, Tommy competed in college rodeo competitions. Happy Birthday Tommy!
December 9: Aaron “The Original Niner” Forrister turned 45. He played for Coach Larry Hernandez from age 9 to 14 and Coach Brian Forrister from age 15 through high school. Aaron pitched, caught and played mostly shortstop and second base during his time with the Bandits. He usually batted lead-off and was a major “offensive force” for his teams. Aaron was usually called on to pitch the toughest games. He played on the Bandits first city championship in 1990. Every year he played, the Bandits won a league championship. He was a member of the team which won the first El Paso youth championship on the road winning the Texas Baseball Classic at Fort Worth Texas in 1992. In 1998 he was a member of the Bandit team which won the High Desert Classic in Albuquerque New Mexico defeating high school seniors and college freshmen with a team of high school juniors and underclassmen. Aaron lettered in soccer for the Hanks Knights his freshman year. He lettered all four years in baseball. Aaron earned All-City and All-District honors multiple times during his high school career. Aaron was a member of the National Honor Society in high school. Aaron earned his degree from the College of the Southwest in Hobbs New Mexico where he currently resides and works in marketing media communication. Forrister earned Most Valuable Player team honors, All-Conference and All-American recognition while playing collegiately. Aaron is very protective of his Bandit # 9 and openly refers to himself as the “Original and True Niner”. Aaron is a joy to the world, to his Forrister family including his Son Christian Michael and wife and to our Bandit family. Happy Birthday to “The Original Niner”!
December 10: Ruben “Niner” Rodriguez turned 30. Ruben played both middle infield positions and pitched for his Bandit teams. On his last Bandit team he batted leadoff on his 12 and under squad even though he was only 11 years old. Rodriguez was known for his numerous web gems and was a clutch hitter offensively. “Niner” is well respected by all of the older and younger Bandits who have watched him play in games or participate in baseball camps. He always seems to “wow” those in attendance. In the first year of varsity competition for the school, Rodriguez was named to the All City team as a infielder for Eastlake High School. Rodriguez was named District 2-5A Most Valuable Player and was the first athlete to sign a college athletic scholarship in Eastlake High School history. He played as a freshman on scholarship at Paris Junior College. He also played collegiately at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Tarleton State University where he earned All Conference Tournament honors. He spent his summers playing in Canada. He has been Blessed with extraordinary athletic Most Valuable Player at the USSSA World Series. The “Youngest Niner” got 19 hits in 23 at bats for his National Championship squad. Rodriguez was a multiple All District and All City selection for his Eastlake High School Falcons including earning an District MVP selection. He continued his baseball journey coaching collegiately at Tarleton State University and completing his Master’s Degree and now is the Head Baseball Coach at Texas A & M International University in Laredo Texas. December 11: Justin “10’er” Lopez turned 35. Justin is a member of our 2002 National Finalist. Lopez pitched and played middle infield on his Bandit teams. Justin was primarily our shortstop and hit in the heart of the order. He earned the right to wear one of our Bandit “held” numbers with his play and brought additional distinction to the number 10. Justin played at Riverside high school where he lettered in both football and baseball. Lopez was named to the Texas 4-A All State Football team as a defensive back. Justin was an All District performer in both football and baseball and a top student in the classroom. Lopez wore one of the Bandit “held numbers” donning the # 10 in his final year. Justin is a member of our 2002 National Finalists who along with his Bandit teammates played in the four hour 11 inning 3-2 National Championship Game. His older brother Adam is a member of our 1998 and 2000 National Finalists meaning the Lopez Family has contributed to all of the Bandit National finalists. Justin is a star in every endeavor he engages. Lopez teaches science and coaches football at Little Elm High School in the Dallas Metroplex and is a Proud Dad of 3 daughters and 1 son. December 12: Bandit Mom Marcella Bombach. Marcella and husband Coach Charlie are the inspiration and foundation that led to the creation of our first ever “Lil” Bandits. Happy Birthday Marcella!
December 21: Isaac “Ice” Herrera turned 35. Isaac is a member of our 2002 National Finalist. Issac pitched, caught and played both corner positions for his Bandit teams. Isaac played at Del Valle High School where he earned four varsity letters in baseball and received All District recognition. “Ice” continued his baseball journey after high school earning a scholarship playing at El Paso Community College. Happy Birthday “Ice, Ice” Isaac!
December 22: Bandit Joe “Joey” Calderon turned 45. Joey joined the Bandits for their State Playoff run at the age of 12. The Sportspark League Championship game won by the Bandits over the Rockies was tagged as the “Calderon Bowl”. The Bandits chose Joey as the first pick to add to their roster for the AABC State Tournament. Calderon helped the Bandits gain a berth in the 12U State Finals. He continued play with the Bandits through age 17 and part of 5 League Championships, Final 4 State Berths in Round Rock and Dallas, a Texas State Finals Berth, a National Regional appearance in Houston and a role on the “Miracle in the Desert” Championship squad coached by Bandit Coach Brian Forrister in Albuquerque in 1998. He was a top of the rotation Pitcher and played Shortstop. Joey went on to play at Ysleta High School. He currently lives in Denver with his wife Jeannette and their children.
December 25: Noel Piñon turned 31. Noel is a member of our 2004 9 and under State Championship squad. Noel pitched, played first base and all three outfield positions. Noel is our “Christmas Bandit” and a pleasant, hard working young man. He was a high academic achiever in the classroom and a clutch performer at the “yard”. He was a member of the District Champion and “Sweet 16” Montwood High School Rams in 2012. In his senior year in 2013, he helped pitch the Montwood Rams to a repeat District championship and playoff berth. Happy Birthday Noel!
Bandit Mom Irma Lopez celebrated on December 27. Two of her sons Adam and Justin have played on all three Bandit National Finalists Adam Lopez in 1998 & 2000 and Justin Lopez in 2002. Adam celebrated his birthday on November 30 and Justin on December 11 so the past month has been filled with birthday cake at the Lopez residence. Happy Birthday Irma!
Marv “Marvelous” Thompson celebrated again on December 27. Marv completed his baseball career as a Major League Scout with the Milwaukee Brewers organization serving as Senior Advisor to the General Manager. Previously Marv worked with the Major League Scouting Bureau rising from the amateur ranks to the Professional scouting circuit. He started his association with Coach Larry Hernandez and the Bandits in 1990 when he launched the Doyle Baseball Schools training sessions here in El Paso. Marv was also the Director of Operations for the Arizona State Sun Devils baseball team under Coach Murphy. Many of our Bandits from the inception attended and/or received instruction from Mr. Thompson and his staff. Our relationship is as strong as ever and because of Marv we have expanded many of our contacts in the college coaching and professional scouting ranks. Happy Birthday “Maravilloso”!
“Ram” Guzman celebrated again on December 28. Mr. Guzman started his association with the Bandits as a sponsor in the early 1990’s. He has always supported the Bandits and their positive endeavors in whatever manner we ask. He is a true and loyal friend to our organization. He is the Co-Founder along with Bandit Coach Larry Hernandez of the baseball and softball programs at El Paso Community College. Happy Birthday “Ram!”

November 1: “Lil” Bandit Matthew Ryan Chavez turned 15. Matthew played 2 seasons with the “Lil” Bandits in the 7U League and helped lead the team to a USSSA Tournament Title. “Happy Birthday” Matthew!
November 6: Sergio Vargas turned 31. Sergio played for the Bandits for 2 years. He was a middle infielder, pitcher, third baseman and played all three outfield positions. Vargas was usually found in one of the two top spots in his team’s batting order. Happy Birthday Sergio!
November 17: Kobe Nelms turned 25. Kobe was part of our Southwest Baseball League undefeated Bandit squad. He played second base and all three outfield spots finally claiming the Centerfield position due to his speed and ability to read “ball off bat.” He was the leading hitter at the October 2013 “Halloween Scream” hitting .667 with an on base percentage over .800. Nelms was a clutch RBI producer for the Bandits and an excellent base runner. Kobe shared the lead for the Bandits in RBI during our undefeated Southwest Baseball League season. Nelms was a High School All State Wrestling contender at Franklin High School. “Happy Birthday” Kobe!
November 24: Steve Vizcaino turned 35. Steve played varsity baseball all four years at Del Valle High School earning All District honors. Steve was an outstanding student in the classroom and mastered three languages in which he is very proficient including German. Vizcaino is a member of our 2002 National Finalist. Steve signed a scholarship agreement to play baseball at the University of the Southwest following his time at Del Valle. Happy Birthday Steve!
November 28: Bridgett Bumpas turned “29” again. Bridgett and her entire Family in Monahans were always been big supporters of the Bandits and our program, even before Kyle started playing, she was Robert “10’er” Gallegos teacher back when he was in elementary school, Robert is a member of our 1998 and 2000 National Finalists, Bridgett’s son Kyle is a member of our 2002 National Finalist squad, Kyle’s play on the first District 1-5A Championship baseball squad at Americas, saw Kyle honored again with All City and All District honors in baseball, Bumpas was honored as the Most Valuable Player in District 1-5A, Mrs. Bumpas received along with her Mom Kyle’s award for being named the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Player of the Year in 2010, in 2011, Kyle earned All Conference honors as a freshman pitcher for St. Mary’s University and was a 3-year letterman for the Rattlers. Happy Birthday Bridgett!
November 29: Mandy Franco turns “29” again. Mandy is an outstanding educator in the classroom, a nurturing Mother to her sons Ruben “Niner” and Robert and daughter Amanda, a tolerant and patient woman, a devoted daughter andsister and a tremendous friend. She has enormous patience and compassion for the people in her life. Thanks Mandy you are truly a class act. Happy Birthday Mandy, we know you are Special and they even wrote a song about you, “Oh Mandy you came and . . . .”
November 30: Champ “The Original Bandit” Hernandez celebrated his 45th birthday. The “Original Bandit”, he started in 1989 playing with the Bandits from age 8 through his senior year in high school. He was an All-District and All-City selection at Hanks High School. He was inducted into the National Honor Society and was an academic scholarship award winner. Upon graduation, Champ played in Tucson Arizona with the Pima Junior College Aztecs before completing collegiate play at Sul Ross State University in Alpine Texas. He played shortstop, second base and filled the role of designated hitter in college. He played for Coach Larry Hernandez from age 8 to 14 and Coach Brian Forrister from age 15 through high school. He played infield his first year batting lead-off and leading the Bandits to the first of many League Championships in 1989. He played on the Bandits 1990 City Championship squad. Every year he played the Bandits won at least a League Championship. He is a member of the first El Paso youth baseball team to win a major tournament championship in the Dallas Metroplex winning the Texas Classic at Fort Worth in 1992. November 30: Happy Birthday to “Grandpa Bandit” Hernandez who was a strong, vocal, visible and unconditional Bandit supporter from Minute One, Day One. He celebrated his 16th Year watching from his Sky Box in our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom. I Love You Popper!
November 30: Adam Lopez turned 39. Adam played four years of football and baseball for Riverside High School where he earned All District and All City honors in both sports. Adam played two years of junior college baseball before returning to El Paso and is currently running a travel club baseball program in the Dallas Metroplex called the Bandits. Adam is a member of our 1998 and 2000 National Finalist. His younger brother Justin is a member of our 2002 National Finalists. The Lopez family provided the Bandits with players on all of our National Finalist teams. Happy Birthday Adam!
November 30: Nathan Volpi turned 34. Nathan graduated from Franklin High School playing four years in their baseball program and being a mainstay on the academic honor roll. Nathan earned two varsity letters pitching and playing in the outfield as well as serving as a designated hitter for the Cougars. Happy Birthday Nathan!
October Birthdays
October 3: C J Avalos turned 34 and served our Country with the military. His reasoning “he wants to do something physically challenging.” In high school, he was a member of the Honor Society at Americas High School where he was admitted with a 96 GPA. In football he played offense, defense and special teams. He was our “Renaissance Man”. He gained awards for his band and jazz band endeavors and also won Science Fair competitions. C J scored his first varsity touchdown against Coronado in October 2008. Avalos is the hardest working athlete and student in every setting. Avalos played second base, pitched and played in the outfield for our Bandit championship teams. C J wore # 9 which is one of our Bandit “held” and “honored” numbers. He upheld the tradition of the “Niners” before him and continued to bring pride to the number 9. He makes his Parents, his sister, his Grandparents, his Aunts and Uncles and the entire Bandit Family Proud. Happy Birthday CJ, today you are the “Birthday Niner”.
October 4: Brian Hebblethwaite turned 34. He always competes to the highest level and has a tremendous work ethic. Brian was a varsity starter as a Freshman and Sophomore at El Dorado High School. Coach John Beard (who played for Coach Larry Hernandez as a 13 and 14 year old) called Brian the best prepared and focused Freshman he has ever coached. He commended “the Freshman” (Coach Beard doesn’t call players by their name until they are Seniors) as a player with a lot of baseball savvy and great work ethic. Hebblethwaite later joined a number of Bandits and played for Americas High School as a Senior where he was part of the schools first baseball District Championship squad. Brian was a Bandit team leader who led by example and made his teammates comfortable in dealing with championship expectations and a championship atmosphere. His fun loving and outgoing personality bring Pop Brian Sr. (Mr. National Championship Home Run Derby Pitcher), Mom Pat and Sister Brittany joy and happiness. He makes all of us proud to know him. Coach Charlie Bombach turned 54 on October 7. He has been coaching and involved with youth baseball since his oldest Son Josh turned 7. His first year coaching the Bandits was with our 13U Championship Bandit edition and he is credited with improving the strength, conditioning and agility of our Bandits. His Bandit coaching career continued as he formed and led our first “Lil” Bandit team. Our “Lil” Bandits grew into a Championship team under his direction and guidance. “Happy Birthday” Coach Charlie!
October 7: Chris Rubio turned 34. Rubio earned All District honors his junior year and senior years as an outfielder. Chris was named District 1-5A Defensive Player of the Year. He played on the Americas Trailblazer varsity squad all four years. Rubio continued his baseball journey playing at Sul Ross State University. Chris was his Bandit team’s “Mr. Versatile”. Rubio played 7 positions with the only two he didn’t play being catcher and first base. He also helped his team seeing action as a situational pinch hitter and situational pinch runner. Chris was an outstanding performer in the classroom as well as at the “yard”. Rubio has a tremendous work ethic and a solid commitment to making his team the best. He is a special player who helped make us a special team. Chris has a outgoing manner and was well liked and respected by his teammates and opponents. Often times Chris served as another coach on the field helping his teammates learn and most times remember their defensive assignments. He has a solid understanding of the game and plays the game the “right way”. His Grandparents, Mom, Dad, Sister and the rest of his Family share with us the Blessing of his company. October 8 Julio Velez turned 35. Julio earned a scholarship from the El Paso Community College Tejanos squad following his high school honors. Velez started for the Riverside High School Rangers varsity baseball team in his freshman year. Julio was named All District all four years and in his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years he gained All City honors as well. Velez was a pitcher and first baseman on our 2002 National Finalist squad. He was at the top of the Bandit rotation on the bump and hit in the first part of the order. Happy Birthday Julio!
October 10: Marc Vargas turned 34. Marc’s time with the Bandits was marked by Championships. He played on our undefeated 2005 Fall and 2006 Spring Championship teams. Marc enhanced our squad with his versatility as a Pitcher, Infielder and Outfielder and his athleticism. He also served as a situational pinch hitter and situational pinch runner. Marc was an outstanding teammate who earned the respect of his fellow Bandits by playing with a high level of energy. He had an outstanding work ethic and strong sense of commitment to our efforts on and off the field. Happy Birthday Marc!
October 15: R J Franco would have turned 31. R J played with the Bandits beginning at age 9. He is a member of our 9 and under State Championship squad. R J caught, pitched, played first base, short stop, third base and all three outfield positions. R J is a quality “young man” and a strong team leader. R J was the quarterback on his Ensor Middle School seventh and eighth grade football teams and led them to a District and Conference titles. He was called up to the Montwood Ram varsity baseball team his freshman year for the playoffs. He played football as a starting cornerback for the Rams varsity and played for the Montwood baseball team as well. Following his high school years, he played college football. Unfortunately RJ now celebrates on a baseball diamond in our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom. Happy Birthday R J!
Catalina “Grandma Bandit” Hernandez celebrated her 16th Heavenly birthday on October 19. On November 23, 2009 she joined her life partner “Grandpa Bandit” after 55 years of marriage nearly seven months to the day after he passed to our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom on April 25, 2009. She also joins her baby daughter Corina who has been circling with the Angels for 17 years. Like a few of our greatest fans, she supports the Bandits from her SKY BOX Suite with “Grandpa Bandit” and Bandit Aunt Corina in HEAVEN. Happy Birthday MOM!
Eddie Blair turned 34 on October 23. “Big Man” graduated from Riverside High School where he played two sports (football and baseball). Blair was a member of our “worst to first” league champions as a 13 year old. Happy Birthday Eddie!

Willie “Niner” Rueda turned 39 on October 30. Rueda graduated from Texas Tech University. Willie made the “Big 12 All Conference Freshman Team” playing second base and be shortstop. Willie’s sophomore year was marred by his tearing his ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing arm. He bounced back and led the Red Raiders in batting average and stolen bases in the “Big 12” Conference his Junior year. He earned “All Big 12” honors his Freshman, Junior and Senior years. The number 9 is one of 5 “controlled” Bandit numbers (4, 7, 9, 10, 24) and are earned not asked for. Willie Rueda was the second Bandit to earn the right to wear the number 9 after the “Original 9’er” Aaron Forrister. Willie led the Bandits to the 1998 and 2000 National Championship Games. He pitched and played both middle infield positions for his Bandit teams. He started playing for the Bandits from age 9 to age 14. He went on to earn All District and All City Honors at Bel Air High School. He claims to be the “Real Niner”. Forrister was the “Original Niner” and has a college “All American” on his resume and he claims to be both the “Original Niner” and the “Real Niner”. It’s about competition and we are proud of how our Bandits compete. Let the debate continue, they both wore their number proudly. Their actions on and off the field make the numbers honored and distinguished. Happy Birthday Willie, today you are the “Birthday Big 12 Niner”.
Bandit September Birthdays
September 1: Kyle Bumpas turned 34. He is one of the Bandits most decorated and honored players offensively and defensively in our history and earned the honor to wear the Held # 10. Kyle pitched, played first base and in the outfield for our 2002 Bandit National Finalist. Bumpas was named the Most Valuable Player for District 1-5A in 2010 as a high school senior. He is also one of 16 Bandits to be named to the Texas High School Baseball All State Team. Kyle earned his fourth 1-5A All District selection and All City Selection in 2010. He was selected to the 1-5A All City and All District team as “Newcomer of the Year” in 2007. He is the first Bandit and only freshman to ever gain this honor in District 1-5A. Bumpas was selected to EPCC All Star team in the Spring of 2007. Kyle played with the Bandits from age 10 through age 15. He was our “ace” on the mound and led his team in batting average, stolen bases and runs scored every year he played on our squads. “Tex” got the call on the bump every championship game and never lost a championship outing for his Bandit teams. Kyle was an honor student in the classroom and a class act off the field. His character as a young man has earned him universal respect from his Coaches, his teammates and his fellow competitors. Bumpas helped lead his Americas Trailblazer high school baseball squad to their first District championship in school history in 2010. Kyle attended St. Mary’s University playing baseball and made the All Conference team as a freshman pitcher. His sophomore year saw him pitch 6 innings of relief in St. Mary’s NCAA Division II World Series finale striking out 8, walking only 1 and allowing only 1 run. He was awarded the Presidential Academic Scholarship in addition to his baseball scholarship. Happy Birthday “Tex”!
September 5: Derek Ramos turned 30. Derek played two complete Fall and Spring seasons with the Bandits. Derek pitched, played SS, 2B, 3B and all three outfield positions for his teams. Derek is very athletic and gifted. He is an honor roll student in the classroom and continues his baseball journey playing at the collegiate level. He shares birthdays in September with his Dad Coach Sammy and brother Sammy. Happy Birthday Derek!
September 7: Luke Lujan turned 33. Luke played for the Bandits as a 12 year old on our 13 and under Bandit championship squad. Luke played catcher and both corner infield positions. Luke was an honor student and played football, basketball and baseball at Coronado High School. Happy Birthday Luke!
September 7: Michael Steele turned 34. Michael played for the Bandits as a 15 year old. He played catcher and first base. Steele was an honor student in the classroom at Franklin High School. Steele earned two varsity letters playing in the Cougars baseball program. Happy Birthday Michael!
September 7: Billy Best turned 25. Billy was part of the 2013 edition of our Bandits. Billy played all 3 outfield positions and first base. “Happy Birthday” Billy!
Mark Gandara turned 34 on September 10. Gandara was a hard working catcher and outfielder for his Bandit championship teams. Mark made the most of his abilities. He would run to practice on days he didn’t have a ride making sure he was never late. Mark was reliable and dependable and unselfish always placing the needs of the team above his personal ones. His attitude helped fuel our championship turnaround during his 13 year old season. Gandara played 3 years for the Bandits and was most often donning the gear and working the dish for his teammates. Happy Birthday Mark!
Happy Birthday to College Player and Bandit Casey “Case” Dillon who turned 44 on September 12. Casey and his Dad Coach Mark Dillon opened the doors to the Westside or as we call it Treasure Island to the Bandits. They opened the pathway for other players who made their positive baseball journeys a part of the Bandit legacy. Coach Mark and Casey and their Bandit teams were Tournament and League Champions and traveled Texas, Arizona and Colorado showcasing the skill set of our Players to help them gain attention and college baseball scholarships. Casey played high school baseball in one of the strongest programs in the Scottsdale Arizona area and his college baseball in California and Ohio. Casey is now coaching his Son Jack and teaching fundamentals to other children in Arizona. Casey also is the Proud Dad to his daughter Charlotte Leigh and makes Coach Mark an ecstatic Grandpa. Happy Birthday Casey.
September 13: Coach Sammy Ramos continues to age gracefully another year. Coach Sammy helped coach the Bandits for 4 seasons covering two full years. His youngest Son Derek who played for the Bandits and his oldest Son Sammy all share September birthdays. Happy Birthday Coach Sammy!
September 18: Robert Gallegos turned 39. Robert played on the first two Bandit National Championship finalist squads in 1998 and 2000. Robert was the team’s ace pitcher, shortstop and lead off batter. Robert went on to All District and All City honors in both baseball and football at Riverside High School where he played quarterback and captured Player of the Year accolades. Robert played junior college baseball as a shortstop, second baseman and third baseman for Navarro Junior college where his squad briefly held the number 1 national ranking. Robert earned his college degree while playing at Northwestern Louisiana as an infielder in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. He coached in Dallas Texas with the D-Bats organization and was an Associate Scout for the Baltimore Orioles. In 2014, Robert coached the D-Bats to the Connie Mack National Championship. Robert was an Assistant Coach for Big 12 Conference Member the University of Oklahoma Sooners. He currently is the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Navarro Junior College and helps raise his Son Cruz and daughter Mila with wife Mandy. “Congratulations and Happy Birthday” Robert!
September 18: Coach Javier Sandoval turned 74. Coach Jarv is one of the co-founders of Bandit Baseball and has been a part of Championship Baseball since 1977. In 1979, he joined Coach Larry and coached the newly formed Hirby Pest Control 13U baseball team. He coached with the Bandits since their inception in 1989. He coached the first Bandit State Championship team in 1994. Happy Birthday Coach Javier!
September 19: Hector Carbajal turned 25. Hector was a member of our 2013 Bandits. Carbajal plays multiple sports including balancing wrestling, football and baseball. His role on the Bandits team saw him become a proven “clutch” hitter and dependable outfielder who improved his reading of “ball off bat” abilities.
Alex Abeyta turned 30 on September 30. Alex played two years with the Bandits. He played third base and a all three outfield positions. He sometimes batted lead off and eventually settled into a spot in the heart of the batting order. Abeyta played football and baseball and was a part of the first graduating class at Eastlake High School. Happy Birthday Alex!
