There is only one coach I know that could have molded a group from a location like El Paso and turn it into a national championship contender. I know these words do not offer much as a consolation, but they are the truth.
Your kids have alot to be proud of, and they should use this to build for next year.
In case i never said this before, I am proud of you and your efforts in helping kids learn not just the game of baseball, but how to play it properly and with a passion that our generation can only wish we had at their ages.
When I read the tourney brackets it gave me goose bumps seeing all the teams that competed
You are indeed a one of a kind coach/person.
The one constant in taking 3 teams to the National Finals is you were the coach
Congratulations to the Bandits and to all the players that have played for you since 1971, whatever happens we all share in the pride they must feel and the example I am sure they are expected to set

I've come to believe that the secret to coaching is recognizing opportunities for your players to succeed and then making sure you get your players into the situation to succeed. Timing, more specifically. Looks like you matched the situations to the players/pitchers and let them experience success.
Confidence comes from success—-not success from confidence….they'll be a lot more confident next year.
