Bumpas Inks 4 Year Scholarship

Kyle Bumpas has signed a scholarship agreement to attend St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Kyle is the 2010 Co-Most Valuable Player in District 1-5A. He was a four year starter for the Americas High School Trailblazers. His freshman year he was named the 1-5A “Newcomer of the Year.” Bumpas was named to the All District team all four years and earned multiple All City selections. He is a member of the National Honor Society. Kyle is a member of our 2002 National Finalist. Bumpas had previously signed a junior college scholarship agreement with North Central Texas Junior College. “Tex” wore # 10 which is one of the Bandit held numbers. Bumpas pitched, played first base and the outfield for his Bandit teams. Kyle set Bandit records for stolen bases in a season and career as well as setting Bandit standards for earned run average and career wins. Congratulations to Mom Bridgett, Dad Coach David, brother Kevin and his Grandparents.
