Bandit and Hanks High School baseball player Michael Bolaski signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Thursday June 17, 2010. He was chosen during the 23rd round of the draft as a third baseman. “It feels great,” he said. “I am just really excited for the opportunity to play for them.” Mike has a fastball clocked at over 90 miles and hour and was at the top of the rotation for the Knights as well as an offensive force for his squad. Bolaski was recently selected to the 2010 1-5A All District team. He pitched for the Knights and was a four year varsity letter winner. On his Bandit teams, “Bo” pitched, caught, played both corner infield positions and all three outfield positions on our championship squad. He batted in the third, fourth and fifth spot in the line-up and was a reliable offensive force for the Bandits. Bolaski had a great work ethic and was often the first at practice and the last to leave in addition to his workouts off the field. Congratulations to “Bo” and the entire Bolaski Family.
