2006 Spring Season is in the Books
Thank You Bandit Parents for Blessing us with the opportunity to spend time with your Sons. We also want to thank you for all the Parental and Family Support you provided all of our Bandits this past Spring. The memories will last a lifetime and the relationships built will strengthen our futures. We are appreciative of your high level of energy and enthusiasm for the efforts of our players. Thank You one and all. Our 14 year old Bandits will begin their high school journey in a week. They are now part of our Bandit legacy and will always be remembered for their energy, commitment and strong work ethic. Our coaches for our 11 year old team will meet early next week with Coach Larry to make decisions for a potential Fall 2006 season that will start in late August. A Special Thanks to Coach Javier Sandoval (who helped start the Bandits in 1989); Coach David Bumpas who has been a part of the Bandits for the past 5 years and instituted an outstanding conditioning program; Coach George Stoltz who has been with us 4 years and brought his knowledge and expertise as a Head Coach and leader of a baseball organization; Coach Ruben Rodriguez who in his second year with us took on the duties of Head Coach for our 11 and Under team and did an outstanding job; Coach Sammy Ramos who handled the pitching for our younger Bandits in his second year with us; Coach John Aguilar who contributed his experience as a head coach and leader of a baseball organization to help make the Bandits better and Coach Charlie Avalos who in his first year was “all in” and did all the preparation off and on the field to better prepare our 14 and under Bandits for their athletic futures. We had some landmark moments both as an organization reaching 2400 wins and with individual accomplishments as well including winning the first and last tournaments of the year; the 14 year olds going 19-1 in league play and winning their last game at the Sportspark by scoring 6 runs in their final inning of play to win a come from behind tournament championship; the 11 year olds playing an entire season with only 10 players and winning 4 tournament championships and finishing as the top 11 and under team in El Paso with a squad that included 3 10 year olds who contributed both on the mound and in the infield; both Bandit squads making it into Championship Round play at their individual World Series and the 14 year old Bandits winning the National Championship “Around the Horn” team competition at the World Series and having Kyle Bumpas become the Super Series National Home Run Derby Champion. As Coaches we are committed to enjoying the good times our players experience on and off the field but we are sincere in reminding them that we will be there for them in their times of need. A Special Thanks to our “Web Master” Anthony Aguayo who saw a web site he created only 5 years ago reach its 81,000th hit. It remains the envy and benchmark for team web sites. Thank You Bandit Players, You Continue to Make us Proud!
