Kyle Bumpas Named Player of the Year
Kyle Bumpas earned another Player of the Year award. On October 26, 2010, the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame awarded his Mom Bridgett and Grandmother Mary Lou a plaque in his honor. “Tex” is currently a freshman at St. Mary’s continuing his baseball and educational journey in San Antonio Texas.
Bumpas was recognized for his role in helping the Americas High School Trailblazers to the school’s first district championship in baseball. Kyle was Newcomer of the Year for District 1-5A as a freshman. He was an All District selection all four year in high school. Kyle is a member of our 2002 National Finalist Bandit team. He played for the Bandits 6 years and holds offensive and defensive records in our program. Dad David was unable to attend due to his football duties and Kyle was in San Antonio. Grandma Mary Lou drove in from Monahans to share in accepting the award with daughter Bridgett. Congratulations to Kyle on his latest award. Thanks to his Family for always been a source of support and inspiration for him.
