Bumpas Makes District 1-5A and Bandit History

Freshman Kyle Bumpas has been named District 1-5A “Newcomer of the Year”. He becomes the first Bandit named to a Division 5A All District First Team as a freshman. Bumpas honor as “Newcomer of the Year” precluded him from also gaining ALL DISTRICT honors as a pitcher which would also have been a first. A long line of Bandits have gained second team or honorable mention honors as Freshmen but never First Team accolades.
Congratulations to Kyle and the entire Bumpas Family for making history and to all of our Bandits for continuing to allow us to be recognized as El Paso’s most honored and decorated youth baseball program.
