Bandits Break Out Brooms in Championship Sweep

The Bandits 11 and under squad continued their dominance of the Kaos with two solid victories in the USSSA NIT Cinco de Mayo Tournament. Their 7-2 pool play win was followed by a solid 4-0 victory in the Championship Game. The younger Bandits displayed consistent routine defense with the occasional web gem and received solid pitching to go with good offensive execution enroute to a 5-0 tournament record. They allowed only 8 runs in their 5 games.
The Bandits 14 and Under squad raised their 2006 record to 23 wins and 3 losses with a 5 game sweep of their division in the USSSA NIT Cinco de Mayo Tournament. The team allowed a total of 5 runs in the tournament.
The Bandits defeated the #1 ranked Shockers (West Texas USSSA Coaches’ Poll);
The Bandits defeated the Midland Outlaws – – the only 14 year old squad to beat the Bandits in 2006 (pool play in Midland Tournament) The Bandits now stand 3-1 against the Outlaws with victories in Hobbs New Mexico, Midland Tournament semi-finals and now in El Paso
Two victories over the # 1 team in Las Cruces – – Las Cruces Hurricanes(10-0 in pool play and 7-0 in the Championship game)
The Bandits 14 and under squad have a record of 46-3 since beginning this Fall season in their final year together
The Bandits 14 and under 10-0 win over the West Texas Shockers in the quarterfinals marked Coach Larry’s 1250 career coaching win
